Days of Discovery
Original play written, produced and performed by local artists
The Friends of the Palace Grand Society created and produced a theatre piece inspired by Discovery Days to be performed during the August festivities. Local playwright Robin Sharp created three five-minute monologues, performed by three different actors (Julaine Debogorski, Kelly Vittrekwa, Jared Klok), based on the reinterpretation of the word ‘discovery’; including the discovery of ancestors/cultural heritage, discovery of sexual/gender identity, discovery of an illness/renewed health, or discovery of a new relationship with the land/community.
