An Art-Crawl Adventure through Dawson City!

The Gallery Hop is a self-directed, community-wide art walk that kicks off the Yukon Riverside Arts Festival, transforming local spaces and businesses around Dawson City into temporary exhibition spaces, performance venues, and creative hubs for one night only. This event offers a unique platform for artists to showcase their work, experiment with immersive installations, or engage audiences through live performances and interactive experiences.

Scroll down and click on the interactive map button below, this will launch the game!

Tap on each icon to learn more about every exhibit—you can zoom in, pan around, and follow the trail of art across town. At each location, look for a “Hop Stop!” poster featuring the site name and a QR code. When you get there, click the [QR] icon on the map and make sure your camera permissions are enabled to scan it.
note: you can toggle the sound on/off by clicking on the top right icon.

Each time you scan a code, the Raven will appear to cheer you on, and your progress bar will update. Visit all the stops to unlock a secret exhibit!

AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARD – HOW TO VOTE

Click on the “Art Gallery” icon to view the full list of exhibits. Once you’ve explored and picked your favourite, scroll down and click “Vote” to submit your choice. The winner will be announced after the event wraps up!

This interactive map experience was created by Jessica Svenningson, a cultural technologist and creative producer who bridges art and emerging tech to craft experiences that deepen engagement and celebrate community. With a background in anthropology and a focus on XR, blockchain, and game design, Jessica builds tools that empower artists and bring cultural stories to life in new ways.
Jessica Svenningson is also our very own ODD Gallery Manager & Artist-in-Residence Coordinator at the
Klondike Institute of Art & Culture!
