Jimmy’s Place hosted a group show in their front street studio

Jimmy’s place showcased the work that has been made within the studio by members Bennie Alain, Justin Apperley, Amy Ball, Miriam Behman, Ange Bonnici, Emily Chudnovsky, Annie Kierans, Jenni Matchett and Evan Rensch.

About the Artist

Jimmy’s place is a studio collective based out of a former video rental store on front Street, in Dawson City. Nine members have been working out of this space since September 2020, as well as opening their space to occasional rotating guests. The collective has organized a series of community events including a community dark room and a series of window exhibitions. These artist make work spanning a multitude of media including but not limited to sculpture, textiles, photography, design, film, sound, performance, paint, drawing and writing. In addition to working on their own artistic practices, members are also educators, technicians, administrators, community organizers and friends.
